We downed Gruul and Mag in one night! Much fun was had by all, and next we're moving on to Tempest Keep!
Our second major charge into Gruul's Lair went decidedly better than last time, but nevertheless he still used us as his veritable napkin for that endless supply of Drool he seems to have. Out of the three attempts, the best was when we dropped him to 30%. It seems that we are hitting a rather consistent string of bad cave ins that leave our tanks pasted to the floor.
High King went better this time around, dropping him on the second try. We didn't even have to sacrifice an Enjoy to make it all happen. A bunch of Hunter/Mage/Lock tokens dropped and yours truly rolled teh suck as is standard.
If I were to ask anyone what we could do differently, it would be to die a little more. We need some more practice on Gruul's and were limited because some folks had to bail. We need more corpse runs to get the fight down, because I think we really had it. Its all about making sure that when you hit the ground before shatter, you get away from people near you instead of trying to get back to your original spot.
All in all, the run was absolutely fantastic. For having so many new folks in we did absolutely spectacular. There isn't a doubt in my mind that we will get the ugly one soon...so I'm hoping the raid gods smile upon us and grant us another run soon :)
Over the past few months, a lot of new changes have been made to the site:
Stay tuned for more changes...and hopefully faster updates to the blog!
Everyone who has guild chat on (and I'm assuming a large portion don't considering all the spam it can cause when I am online) knows that one of my favorite questions to ask guildies with several characters is what their experiences with the different combinations of classes and roles the game has to offer.
Recently, I respecced my Druid to become a healer and I must say I haven't been happier. For me, the excitement of being the backbone the entire group depends on for success is more than enough reward to fill the void left by big crits.
Effective Immediately, the new forums on the new site are open to all guildies! The old forums can still be found at http://www.eldersofturalyon.com/forums if you need to reference something, but from here on out we are going to try and make everything single login! That way, logging into the main web page frees up everyone to visit all that we have to offer all at once.
