Icecrown Citadel II: Oh How The Mighty Have Fallen

Rack up two more kills to Team Elders! Nevermore shall Lady Deathwhisper and her legion of minions inspire the same degree of terror for us. And, in the same evening the Battle between the Airships was decided, in favor of the Alliance.

Present for these momentous events were: Tribian, Dontee, Celi, Ariis, Kaball, Taggartfly, Arturus, Maplelore, Zotan, Galestrom

Congratulations!

Thanks again to Arthert for providing the screenshots.

Icecrown Citadel: The Adventure Begins

Icecrown Citadel. Bastion of Evil, forged from the essence of the Old God of Death. Home of the Scourge. Fortress protecting the Frozen Throne. Lair of the very Lich King himself.

And now, Playground of The Elders of Turalyon.

On the evening of December 15th, The Elders banded together to face wave after wave of brutal trash leading up to the monstrous first boss of the Citadel, the intimidating Lord Marrowgar. And then proceeded to kick his butt. Or at least it would have been if he had legs.

Congratulations to those present for this guild first kill:
Tribian, Dontee, Celi, Ariis, Kaball, Taggartfly, Arturus, Maplelore, Zotan, Galestrom

and congratulations to Galestrom, who's appearing here for his first progression kill.

Way to go, guys!

MOAR DOTS: Does Onyxia Deep Breathe more often?

The Elders went down to Dustwallow Marsh to check into stories that the Black Dragon Onyxia had been revitalized by the last patch, and was laying waste to broad swathes of would-be adventurers. And, while it was certainly true that she was stronger than ever, they discovered that she still makes excellent bags. The Enlarged Onyxia Hide Bags, that is.
Thanks to Arthert for providing the kill screenshot.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this guild first New Ony kill:
Celi, Paprika, Arthert, Taggartfly, Reyknight, LouDFiero, Shemo, Vorissa, Maplelore, Tribian, and Blase

Of note: there was a second run immediately following this one that also successfully one-shot the old windbag.
Representing the Elders in this non-official run were Ainin, Frootloope, and Espada. Elder tanks and trees FTW!

Gather-a-palooza II

This past weekend we held a Gathering contest to benefit the guild bank, and the clear winners were Team 3.

Congratulations to Taggartfly, Deverocs, Kamalas and Thraphealz!!

In recognition of their immense... umm... gathering efforts, they all received 500g and 5 Abyss Crystals.

Grats Guys!

Triumph over the Trial of the Crusader 10 man

That's right, folks! An intrepid band of Elders took up the challenge of the Trial of the Crusader and emerged victorious 3 hours later, having 1-shot the Beasts of Northrend and Lord Jaraxxus, and not only learning, but defeating the Horde Faction Champions (Shadowpriest, Death Knight, Shaman, Druid, Paladin, Hunter), Twin Valkyr and the 'surprise' encounter of Anub'arak underneath the very tournament colliseum itself.

It's worth noting that in this raid, as in all our raids, there was no 'cherry-picking' of classes/specs for optimum performance - We took the first 10 eligible folks who signed up for the raid, and kicked some butt. :-)

Present on this remarkable three-fer evening of raiding prowess: Tribian, Biffybaffy, Charlynine, Vorissa, Shemo, Amariah, Kelleb, Arthert, Frootloope, and yours truly, Rhus.

Excellent work everyone! And particular grats to the Elders whose names appear in this blog for the first time: Amariah, Frootloope, and Kelleb!
