The Elders of Turalyon is a
World of Warcraft guild on the Turalyon-US server, Alliance faction. Founded in March 2006, our guild is based on the promise that we are all like-minded adults that are interested in experiencing all that WoW has to offer.
Many in our guild have families and other real-life commitments that need to come first. Some have mere moments to commit to their time with us, others spend a great deal learning the intricacies of the game. Yet somehow all of these different types of players find themselves happily coexisting and helping one another whenever they can. In our guild, you get to define your own role, schedule, and level of involvement based on what you want to do.
Players new to the game will find a wonderful group of folks to help them in quests, dungeons, and other aspects of the game. We have many experienced players that are always willing to answer questions about character choices, specs, items, or play style. In The Elders, you can expect caring, helpful people to take an interest in your personal progression.
Experienced players have equal access to raiding that does not require mandatory participation, an active schedule that plans several raids a week (some regularly, others off-schedule), and a unique loot distribution method that does not penalize those who cannot attend raids often. The Elders will satisfy your need to cover new ground, challenge yourself individually, and get you into places you've always wanted to go without the added stress of making raiding your second job.
In many ways, our guild defies convention. We offer benefits to casual players as well as players that spend a lot of time in the game. Both are welcome, and both have found happiness in our social confines. We are a casual guild that raids, but neither "casual" nor "raiders" truly defines us. We are unique.
If you would like to learn more about our guild, please have a look around our website. When you are ready to apply for membership, please read our
rules and then

First new boss kill of 2012: Ultraxion. He put up quite a fight (How hard can it be to hit a single button? surprisingly hard...) but once we upgraded our gear a bit, he folded like the rest. Now off to work on what seems to be this tier's most chaotic fight, Lootship v2. (Warmaster Blackhorn)
Grats to everyone present for the first kills:
Ultraxion 1-05-11 - Gnail, Arlo, Windfaller, Worgwar, Loudfiero, Bularm, Kataklism, Vorissa, Celi and Gnurse

And the bosses just keep on foldin'. Monday we took down Yor'sahj and tonight we downed Hagara the Stormbinder. Both very interesting fights. Next up, Ultraxion and his trash.
Grats to everyone present for the first kills:
Yor'sahj 12-05-11 - Gnail, Vargrbeorn, Windfaller, Worgwar, Loudfiero, Bularm, Kataklism, Blase, Celi and Gnurse
Hagara 12-07-11 - Gnail, Vargrbeorn, Windfaller, Worgwar, Arlo, Bularm, Kataklism, Blase, Celi and Gnurse

Well well. We had a busy evening. Our first foray into the Dragon Soul raid was quite successful - The first two bosses down, and good progress on the third.

Not a moment too soon, Ragnaros has bitten the dust.
And, as my computer downloads patch 4.3, I think it's mighty fine of Blizzard to go ahead and provide us with the next set of 5man instances and tier 13. Can't have us with nothing to do, after all. ;-)
Grats to everyone who was present for the first kill: Arlo, Gnail, Vargrbeorn, Windfaller, Worgwar, Bularm, Kataklism, Blase, Celi, and Gnurse.

Ever since Rhus first encountered Fandrel Staghelm waaayyyy back when, I've wanted to take him out and slap him around. But, as a good Druid I couldn't rightly do so to the Archdruid. Fortunately, with Cataclysm he's no longer Archdruid. >evilgrin<
Congratulations to the Elders! 6/7 Firelands. Woot!
Grats to all those present for the first kill: Gnail, Vargrbeorn, Windfaller, Worgwar, Bularm, Loudfiero, Taggartfly, Celi, and Gnurse.
