Ethical Bank Conduct

The bank is for everyone. Please remember that when you take from the bank, you are using our communities resources that we have all worked hard to build. We understand that there are times that are easier to need than to give, but please try keeping the bank healthy in the long run.

In regards to bank use, there are a few things you should be aware of:

1. Please do not junk it up. Don't throw items that you know people don't want, or items that you can walk 10 feet and buy from a vendor. Its tough keeping it all tidy, and it doesn't help when we have to vendor crap that is totally useless.

2. No Ninjaing. To paraphrase Judge Potter Stewart, I can't really define excessive takers, but I know it when I see it. Its tough to put strict regulations on excessive bank use, especially considering that people who want to "beat the system" would follow it to the letter. Requesting blue after blue after blue after blue and depositing only linen cloth could be it. Pocketing all of guild swap...that could do it. We regularly review the bank logs and there are very rarely ever problems....but every now and again we see something that draws our attention.

3. Greed is a Sin. It makes me happy when I see a guildie remove a stack of something, and return what's leftover. It makes me sad when a guild takes ten large prismatic shards and nothing is returned. What I mean is you should only take what you need...don't keep the leftovers. The guild has alot of people who could use that stuff, and its not nice to keep it all for yourself. Take what you need, but use what you take. Also, please note that you can break up stacks by shift-clicking the same as you can in your personal inventory. This can make taking one item out of a stack of 20 much easier.

4. The Bank is not YOUR Bank. Of all the things that I mention above...there is one which is an instant guild kick. Do NOT ever...EVER EVER EVER EVER take from the bank for profit! We regularly check balance sheets and the auction house to prevent this. You are all working too hard for some jackass to come into this guild, steal your hard work, and try and make a profit off it.

To that effect, we have one last request based on this:

5. Only withdraw for your profession. In order to help us better control bank management, we ask that you only withdraw materials for your profession.
